I would like to take a moment and just reviewed the Marathon Chamber of commerce e-mail blast that they send out about every week or two. We love Marathon and Key Colony Beach big time and have stayed on vacation many a night. I think they can promote the area a lot better than repeating some of the stuff that they do month after month. The first thing that I see is a message to try to get people to join the Chamber, instead of some news thing that's fun and creative. I probably will not want to get e-mails that always have the main theme of joining, rather than promoting what's coming up in the area and a reason to stop in. When I look at the headlines that say in this issue, one of the main items is the Chamber membership drive. The customer is the product, everything that is written on the website should be to entertain and inform not sell. The area speaks for itself, let Marathon be the shining star that it is.
