I was so impressed with the watersports along the ocean at the Cheeca Lodge, we spent a lot of time playing at the beach. There is a lagoon area stocked with fish and you can snorkel. Also on the backside a long fishing pier, tiki bars, paddle boats, plus it is really nice for those with small children. This has to be the grooving-it places we have ever seen in the Florida Keys. Call this one, upper affordable excellence!
The swimming pool area has music playing gently in the background. You get food service from the restaurant at your poolside seat or your beach chair. Order shakes, beer, wine, or even a Key Lime Kreamcicle (Key lime juice, vodka & vanilla ice cream)!
Except only the best service from the staff here at the Cheeca. It was a pleasure to stay for five nights, and this island is loaded with tropical pleasures. You do want to use the bikes (see the front desk) as there is a nice sidewalk system covering the entire island.
