Our Top Pick for food in Islamorada

Just outstanding is the French Style Cafe at mile marker 82.2, where guests rave over the coffee, crepes, pastries and more. The food has the true flare, as the owners moved down from Montreal and serves up only the most authentically prepared recipes. Stop in if you have not been, the restaurant has the perfect vibe and fits in so well with our quaint little community. It is deserving of the Best Overall Food Winner Award!

I have to say that the Crepe Forestiere is so flavorful, it is my personal favorite. The Create-Your-Own-Crepe is such a good idea and makes it fun to pick your own ingredients. Zany and creative, that is what makes it work so well here.

My spot for Yummy Gelato

Take your pick of the gelato flavors. I am a big fan of the Coppa Mista (nice recipe mix of chocolate, vanilla, pistacho, and almond) and right behind is the Coconut Macadamia Nut and the Strawberry Cheesecake.

Super-duper Club Panini by the Chef

Get him to make you a Club Panini. Let the chef build your panini before your eyes. The recipe goes with generous cuts of both turkey breast and ham, some fried bacon, mozzarella cheese, red onions, fresh lettuce, very thin cucumber slices, thicker sliced tomatoes and fat-free mayonnaise on the side.
