It really pays to buy your vacation goods in Marathon at the Kmart. The cost of shopping for beachwear, gifts, and fishing tackle do go up in the Lower Keys. Get your supplies here for some fishing fun under the seven-mile bridge!
This is where I bought my fishing pole and bait. Extremely low pricing is a big deal. The area is fun too and has lots of waterfront restaurants and bars to enjoy live music and a fun local scene.
Got a nice cast net there, at a discount compared to most places in the Florida Keys. They even sell the odd items like boat ladders and drain plugs.
Getting fishing supplies could not be any easier with the Big-K Fishing Center. It is right in the center of town, and they even sell wine and beer too!
It has been here since 1962! How about 1962 for celebrity births: football had Jerry Rice, everyone knows Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Jodie Foster, Pink Sixes Taxi, and comedian Jim Carry! Back to Keys Life, Going fishing tomorrow at the Seven Mile Bridge, then the Sunset Grill!
Oh my...little 1962, the year that Target, Walmart, and Kmart all went live. Amazing. Target was the Dayton Hudson store and they went a bit more upscale, and here they are all these years later...fighting it out. Disney Orlando started in 1971. History is so cool. We have it all in the keys, but my pick for deals is the Marathon Kmart or the Walmart in Florida City.
