Islamorada is blessed with a bunch of nice waterfront sightseeing parks, this spot at mile marker 84. Sand Bar Party Central is just about 300 yards from the park, so the views are outstanding. The Sand Bar is famous here on the weekends when hundreds of vessels stop in one spot. A lot of boats come and go under the Whale Harbor Channel Bridge and it keeps the area alive with water action too. It is a great area to get a hotel room and you can do everything by bicycle.
This park is really great for photography and video. The kite boarders zoom around whenever a decent breeze is flowing, which is most days. I really like the Holiday Isle area to stay, you get so much within walking distance.
Chevron Marine Fuel is available and at Marina Park. A good place to pick up bait and fishing supplies, or book a charter trip. Waverunner Rentals are offered on the backside of the Tiki Bar. I really like this park.
