Hanging close to the water is always part of our nightlife scene. On this trip we rented a pontoon boat so all travel was dock to dock. The Caribbean Club is a sweet spot because of the live music too. Other boater friendly spots in the area we loved were Snappers, Big Chill, and the Bayside Grille.
I like the way the bands come on a bit later and play later here. It really is the place for Key Largo locals. Good bands, nice scene and plenty of boat parking.
We missed the Anything That Floats Race this weekend in Key Largo. Contestants will navigate vessels on a cool course from the Caribbean Club to Sundowners and back. It was on the TV news here. Perfect for August.
They have a great series of nightlife events to see over at the Murray E. Nelson Government & Cultural Center. Keep an eye on the event schedule. We loved the Ocean Life Lecture Series, which includes speakers from experts on the the Florida Keys and Florida International University. Each event begins at 6pm and is at 102050 Overseas Highway Key Largo.
