One of the really neat things on the little island at Key Colony Beach is the Sunset Beach Park. It is easy to find near the end of Ocean Drive West. The only problem is they close the park way too early, but the views are outstanding.
The pier is really nice to walk out on and watch the boats zoom by. It is a quiet and relaxing spot, with cozy picnic tables there close to the Shoreline. I love Key Colony Beach Community Park.
Walk down for the sunset views, it is a tradition here on the island. It really adds to the enjoyment here at Key Colony Beach and Marathon Florida Keys. Nothing beats an Florida Keys Oceanfront Beach Park.
All the residents are so amicable, answering all questions so fully. The Visitor Center is not far, stop in some great guides of the local attractions. I would not have had near as much fun without the literature to ponder ideas over drinks at Sparky's! Ask about the boat tours and they will make sure your day on the water is a success.
Where to stay to experience Boating in the Florida Keys? Our Key Colony Beach weekly waterfront rental with a boat is an ideal place to stay to enjoy the waterways around Marathon. You do not need to be a highly experienced sailor, just stay close to land. Key Colony is a clean, comfortable, and affordable retreat here in the middle Florida Keys, part of Marathon on the upper end.
